Modern Carnivore Experience learning archery

Participants learn about archery at the Modern Carnivore Experience retreat.

Modern Carnivore Experience

At Modern Carnivore our mission is to provide guidance to people who want to learn more about eating responsibly. That includes introductions to a lifestyle of hunting, fishing and foraging activities. In addition to creating videos, podcasts and social media we host events where people can meet other like-minded individuals and ask questions in a comfortable setting.

The Modern Carnivore Experience event series is one of the opportunities you have to explore what it means to take control of your food source, and explore the idea of hunting, fishing and foraging. In 2018 we’ll be holding three of these events in Minnesota. Registration for these events will be opening soon, so if you’d like us to notify you when it opens up please provide us with your e-mail.

2018 Events Schedule

All events in 2018 that are part of the Modern Carnivore Experience series will take place at the Baker Near-Wilderness Settlement which is just 20 minutes from downtown Minneapolis. This lodge is set in a beautiful deciduous forest of oak, elm and poplar. Go to the Three River Park District website to see photos of the lodge, facility and surrounding area.
